» What is PNDC's policy for Spam?

PNDC holds an anti-spam policy. That means that a service may be terminated as a result of several complaints about spamming from your server.

» What is the contract length?

PNDC offers monthly contracts. This is one of many displays of our unmatched flexibility with customers.

» What kind of support is available?

PNDC provides 24/7 network support.

» Does PNDC provide clients with statistics for bandwidth usage?

Yes - all Colocation and Dedicated Server clients can view their bandwidth statistics on their Control Panel.

» Does client get Root Access?

Yes, we create a User Account for your machine and give you the root password. You can create user accounts for any domain name you transfer to that machine.

» Do you support Coldfusion?

Currently we do not support Coldfusion software installation.

» What software is installed on a Server initially?

PNDC installs the Operating System and Control Panel.

» Does PNDC provide Remote Management capabilities for Windows Servers?

Yes, PNDC provides you with Remote Management software for your Windows Dedicated Server.

» Can I host multiple websites on one IP?

Yes, what happens is that when the web browser connects to the web server, it includes the name of the web site it is looking for. All web browsers written since about 1996 are able to do this. The web server knows to differentiate on any given IP Address the multiple virtualhosts (called namevirtualhosts because they're based on the name of the website being accessed), and serves the content from the directory that was set up in the web server's configuration file.

» Can I run IRC software on PNDC's Dedicated Server?

PNDC doesn't allow any kind of IRC Software on its servers. It's against our policy.

» What are the differences between Colocation and Dedicated Server Plans?

Dedicated servers are more entry level than colocation solutions. One would get a dedicated server when they require more customization than a simple virtual account can offer. A colocation solution allows you to utilize any hardware that is necessary in order to fulfill your application's needs (whether it will be dual processors, complex raid configurations, etc.) Furthermore, if there are several servers necessary to satisfy your needs, a colocation solution would be more prudent as it allows you the flexibility to set up your own network and migrate additional servers in as needed.

» How fast are Dedicated Servers set up?

Dedicated Servers currently on average take 24-72 hours to set up. This timeframe fluctuates based on current hardware stock and demand. Some servers may be available for instant/same-day set up.

» How much assistance do you provide for my server?

PNDC will assist you with all support for services provided directly thru us. We will help you with basic settings for your email software and ftp client, as well as assist you with using the web browser control panel. PNDC is not responsible for teaching you how to use another company's products for example: We will assist you with the settings for using MS Frontpage, but we will not teach you how to actually use the product itself. PNDC is not responsible for assisting with your own programs and cgi scripts. If you choose to install your own programs and cgi scripts on your site, you are responsible fully for installing them. Also PNDC is not responsible for designing, or developing your website, including HTML and/or images.

» How many domains can I host on each Dedicated Server?

PNDC does not put a numerical limit on the quantity of websites/clients you can host on your dedicated server. Such numbers are only limited by the amount of bandwidth you utilize and the hardware specifications of your server. You can host hundreds of small websites on your server, or just a single large site, that is strictly up to you. We do advise never putting more than 1000 virtual hosts on a single server, due to limitations within the operating systems and web server software.

» What if I want to upgrade my Dedicated Server plan?

You may upgrade or downgrade your server plan at any time. You will be required to pay a new monthly fee for the new server package that you select. Changing dedicated server plans may require system administration fees and/or hardware modifications.
